Work for trainee website designers

We have new projects ready for trainee website designers, if you want to apply for an interview send us a covering letter and CV with a list of your work. The following is an example of someone wanting to work with Delicious Webdesign in Stanf0rd-le-Hope, Essex.

[Trainee Website Designer] We just spoke on the phone about 10 minutes ago regarding webdesign vacancies, please find below a few sites I have done or still do development on when needed.

Since I left school I have always enjoyed doing Web Development it just gives me inspiration to do great looking sites.

First of I have been doing webdesign now for around 6 years and I have used WordPress & Joomla, also I have done a few sites in E-commerce with Opencart which is by the most best FREE open source I have seen its very flexible and they have plenty of free modules.

I can use Photoshop I have the latest Version CS6 and I have Dreamweaver CS6 which is very useful as it has features in it now to develop mobile designs. But I like to rather hand code from scratch I usually use Dreamweaver if I am doing Table Data.

I am more of a Front-End Developer so I can do PSD to WordPress PSD to Joomla etc.

Please find attached a list of sites I have done or still work on and I hope you like what you see, as I am very versatile and would like the opportunity or a test site to work on to prove I am not just saying I can do this stuff.

My skills are:

XHTML/CSS
Joomla
Wordpress
OpenCart
Installing PHP Scripts / Mysql
Zencart
Photoshop
Dreamweaver CS4 / CS5 / CS5.5 / CS6

I have reasonable Daily Rates and Hourly Rates. We could also discuss this further as I am very negotiable.

[Website Designers] I think you should make some changes to the site of yours:

1 make it w3c compliant
2 make your logo more defined / precise as its pixelated / blurry at the moment
3 remove the Wikipedia images / links
4 rethink the navigation to use text navigation not images.

If these changes are done then would like to review your changes to see if you do it to the standard required (sorry if that sounds high and mighty but all our sites need to be SEO friendly and W3c compliant)

Assume you generally purchase a wordpress theme and customise it further for clients

Website Client Initial Proposal

It was wonderful meeting you last week to discuss your website redesign and SEO (website promotion) requirements. As promised, please find attached my report with recommendations. We have tried to remain as competitive as possible for you as I appreciate you are budget conscious

To be very forthcoming we normally never provide discounts as we are already extremely competitively priced, however, we have given you a 20% discount on our standard prices. This as I am sure you will appreciate is quite substantial.

Typically we require a minimum 50% deposit to commence work. The balance we can discuss and break into monthly instalments, no problem.

On a separate note, I was giving your business further thought this weekend from a marketing angle.

Some additional ideas that sprang to mind that we can look at implementing long term:

1 Customer database – All customer details should be kept on a dedicated customer database.

2 Subscriptions – The database should be expanding to store subscribers and customers.

3 Monthly newsletter – Depending on the number of registered customers, your website can be integrated with a bulk emailing system or alternatively a 3rd party component can be used such as MailChimp.

This will allow you to select customers and keep them up to date with the latest news and offers. Newsletters are a great way to ensure your brand is always at the forefront of your customer. It’s what we call a an effective brand reinforcement strategy.

4 PR – You should consider the services or a local PR firm once your brand has re-launched.

These are just some random ideas for you to think about. Others include, writing to your target customers and an open evening.  All the above will only be possible as mentioned once the new brand and website is in place.

Just so you know the earliest we can start is July thus the sooner we get the ok the sooner your project starts as our schedules operate on a first come first served basis.
